Fluoride Treatment
A preventive treatment that helps protect children's teeth from cavities.
Overview
Extra Protection Against Cavities
Fluoride is a mineral that strengthens tooth enamel and helps it resist the acid that causes cavities. A professional fluoride treatment, applied at the dental office, puts a higher concentration of fluoride on the teeth than toothpaste does.
For children, fluoride treatments are part of our regular preventive care, along with cleanings and dental sealants. At early visits, Dr. Gailey assesses each child's fluoride needs and talks with parents about brushing habits, diet, and what to expect as their child's teeth develop.
Fluoride works best alongside daily brushing, flossing, and regular checkups. It doesn't replace them.
